Reconocidx artista de Bolivia cuya obra cuestiona constructos dados por válidos en la ‘cultura occidental’. Nutridx por el Pensamiento Andino, Diego trabaja desde un ‘yo plural’ que incluye la alteridad (al ustedes, a ellos y a la naturaleza), centrándose en lo femenino y un tiempo cíclico. Filosófica y políticamente, Aramburo crea desde lo paradójico, lo inaceptable/inaceptado y lo desechado.

Nurtured by Andean thought, Diego works from a “plural self” that includes otherness (you, them and nature), focusing on the feminine and a cyclical time. Aramburo ha girado en festivales del mundo (con su colectivo Kiknteatr), y promueve actividades para fortalecer la práctica escénica en su país. Su producción en gran formato lx ha llevado a ser e/la primerx directorx que desarrolló su carrera en Bolivia en ser invitadx a dirigir en teatros oficiales del mundo.

Únicx bolivianx Artista Residente de La Real Academia de España. Dos veces Medalla de Honor de La Asamblea Legislativa por su aporte a la Cultura Nacional. Doce veces Premio Nacional de Teatro en Bolivia. Ha recibido varios premios en distintos países y sus obras han sido traducidas a cinco idiomas y presentadas en el mundo.

EN: Aramburo has toured festivals around the world (with their collective, Kiknteatr), and promotes activities to strengthen performance practice in their country. Their large-format production has led them to become the first director who developed their career in Bolivia to be invited to direct in official theaters around the world.

Only Bolivian Resident Artist of La Real Academia de España. Two times Medal of Honor from the Legislative Assembly for their contribution to National Culture. They have also won the National Theater Award in Bolivia twelve times, have received numerous awards in different countries, and their works have been translated into five languages and presented worldwide.

Su poética está atravesada por conceptos relativos a lo no-binario-polifónico-disonante y a la identidad plural. A partir de ello, Diego genera una visión y tratamientos artísticos y estéticos personales a la vez que plantea contenidos universales.

Aramburo aborda la creación desde tres enfoques/soportes principales: las prácticas liminales (intervenciones e instalaciones, atravesadas por la performatividad), las artes escénicas en sí (gran formato, teatro documental y performance), y la creación audiovisual (experimental y narrativo).

EN:Their poetics are permeated by concepts related to non-binarity/polyphony/dissonances and plural identity. From this, Diego generate a personal vision plus a particular artistic and aesthetic treatments while simultaneously proposing universal content.

Aramburo addresses creation from three main approaches/supports: liminal practices (interventions and installations, permeated by performativity), performing arts themselves (large-format, documentary theater and performance), and audiovisual creation (experimental and narrative).
